CAPSS was established in 2001 as an autonomous defence research and analysis body for research and focused analyses on issues related to national security, defence, and aerospace issues in the evolving strategic and international security environment.
Wing Commander A Pichipoo Raja
Senior Fellow
Wing Commander A Pichipoo Raja is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi. He is an alumnus of Sainik School Amaravathi Nagar, National Defence Academy and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He is a Helicopter pilot and has operational experience in diverse terrain across the country. He is presently pursuing PhD in Politics and International Relations from Pondicherry University. He is the Programme Director of the Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Programme at CAPSS. His research areas include Indian military history and application of air power.
