Prof (Dr) DK Pandey, as Group Captain, has served the IAF for more than three decades. He has experience of more than 2500 Air combats. In the course of his service, as part of Air Staff Inspections team, at Air HQs, he inspected and audited AD ops at various AF Stations, including AWACS. He has commanded six Air Defence (C&R) Units and was awarded Best Unit Trophies twice. He retired as Director, Joint Control and Analysis Centre.

He was Associate Dean & Professor at the School of Business (Aviation Management) at Galgotias University. He authored a book: “Unmanned Aerial Systems: Transforming Contemporary Air Warfare”; and co-edited two books –(i) ‘Road to Atmanirbhar Bharat in Aerospace’, & (ii) ‘Drone Redefined: The Impact of Emerging Technologies on UAS’. He is currently a Senior Fellow and RCO at CAPSS; Adjunct Faculty, Rastriya Raksha University (RRU), a member of the Advisory Council of ‘Greater Noida Institute of Technology’ (GNOIT) and a member of the Advisory Board (Academic Affairs) at ‘Foreign Policy School, New Delhi’.
